We ran out of time after discussing the best possible sequence for our students. This conversation will continue in our next PLC.

- How will students be admitted in JCTC without ACT scores?
- Will there be an entrance exam?
- Should we move digital literacy to 10th grade?

- Digital literacy can't come after MOS (MOS is an advanced computer course)

- ACQUIRE: To buy or obtain
- ADAPTABILITY: Flexibility; the ability to adjust to changing conditions
- BANK CREDIT CARD: A type of credit issued by banks that enables the cardholder to make purchases nationwide (examples = VISA and MasterCard
- BANKRUPTCY: A state of debt that cannot be resolved
- BUDGET: An estimate of income and expense for a specific period of time
- CENSORSHIP: Suppression of ideas
- CREDENTIALS: Information about a person’s or business’s skills, abilities, and qualifications
- CREDIT: The arrangement by which businesses or individuals can purchase now and pay later
- COLLATERAL: Anything of value belonging to the borrower that is pledged to the lender to guarantee that the loan will be repaid
- DEBT: Amount of money businesses or individuals owe to others
- DECISION-MAKING MODEL: An organized way of making a decision

- Noticed areas students did fairly well in
- Students struggled with Math questions
- Issues with practice test
- Not enough time in a class period to finish
- Need to try again on a block day
- Several questions had errors
- Copy the test and fix issues with questions
Discussed Email from Nichelle Freer about a Marketing competition for students
- Deadline Feb. 20
- Waiting to get some ideas from Mrs. G to see if it would be possible to incorporate into the Marketing classes
- Since we are preparing for KOSSA we may not be able to work on this.

HSB Eastern Visit Recap
Ruffin & Bingham discussed what they thought about the HSB program at Eastern.
Bingham- Wants the business department to interact more with freshman. Suggested more field trips and events tailored to Freshman
Ruffin shared her concerns about implementing the HSB program; suggested another Entrepreneurial pathway
Comstock explained strategies that we could use to ease some of the concerns.
Mrs. G. is all about HSB and ready to go!
