Developed a list of Business Vocabulary for the 1st 6 WKS
  1. ACCOUNTABILITY: The condition of having to answer for or be liable for your actions; accepting responsibility for your decisions 
  2. ACQUIRE: To buy or obtain
  3. ADAPTABILITY: Flexibility; the ability to adjust to changing conditions
  4. BANK CREDIT CARD: A type of credit issued by banks that enables the cardholder to make purchases nationwide (examples = VISA and MasterCard
  5.  BANKRUPTCY: A state of debt that cannot be resolved 
  6.  BUDGET: An estimate of income and expense for a specific period of time 
  7.  CENSORSHIP: Suppression of ideas
  8.  CREDENTIALS: Information about a person’s or business’s skills, abilities, and qualifications
  9.  CREDIT: The arrangement by which businesses or individuals can purchase now and pay later
  10.  COLLATERAL: Anything of value belonging to the borrower that is pledged to the lender to guarantee that the loan will be repaid 
  11.  DEBT: Amount of money businesses or individuals owe to others 
  12.  DECISION-MAKING MODEL: An organized way of making a decision
  13. DEPENDENT: Needing or relying on someone or something 
  14.  ENCOURAGEMENT: The act of giving someone support, confidence, or hope 
  15.  ENTREPRENEUR: An individual who invents, develops, and distributes a good or provides a service; assumes the risks of starting and building a business; and receives personal and financial rewards for her/his efforts

  •  Noticed areas students did fairly well in
  •  Students struggled with Math questions 
  • Issues with practice test 
    •  Not enough time in a class period to finish
      •  Need to try again on a block day
    • Several questions had errors
      •  Copy the test and fix issues with questions 
Discussed Email from Nichelle Freer about a Marketing competition for students 
  • Deadline Feb. 20 
  •  Waiting to get some ideas from Mrs. G to see if it would be possible to incorporate into the Marketing classes 
  •  Since we are preparing for KOSSA we may not be able to work on this.
