End of Course Assessment for Business - ASK
Ms. Comstock wants to start the HSB program through MBA Research which creates the ASK test.
Students take 2 classes each year and can earn Dual Credit through Spaulding University. The program is Project Based. The students have to start, run and dissolve a business. The proceeds from the business have to be donated to a non-profit organization such as FBLA, or the school, etc.
Process to get approved - application. HSB, MBA Research. Cost $1000 to join and $1700 per year. CTE may be able to pay for it depending on how it is coded (student resources?) Ask Eastern how it is paid for?
To be approved - need a committee (advisory board), district administrator, school administrator, 2 local business administrators, college-level (management, finance, marketing, accounting, business economics or general business) instructor or administrator, business and/or marketing teachers participating in the program, at least one counselor.
At other schools - Dual credit was offered but not all students took advantage of it. The biggest concern would be being admitted to the university. (GPA(3.0) and ACT (18)need to be addressed)
Program can be offered without Dual Credit as well.
